Minneapolis Host Home Program
Do you have an open bedroom in your house? You can help a homeless youth become a thriving young adult!
The Minneapolis Host Home Program is an “outside the system” opportunity for the Minneapolis community to provide safe, supportive homes for the city’s young people experiencing homelessness. DCEH is teaming up with Avenues for Youth to find hosts willing to open their home! Why? It’s really hard to do well in school, at work, or plan for your future when you don’t know when you’re going to eat next and where you’re going to sleep that night. You can make a difference in the life of a young person! How? The Minneapolis Host Home Program recruits caring adults from Minneapolis who are willing to volunteer their time and share their home. Youth served have no home and are ages 16-22 (under 18 with permission of parent/guardian). For more information, contact Deena McKinney at firstname.lastname@example.org.
