Project Homeless Connect

Next Project Homeless Connect date: May 20, 2013

Transforming more than 160,000 square feet of convention space into a one-stop service center, Project Homeless Connect directly addresses the numerous and complex barriers

which prevent homeless individuals from finding lasting employment and securing safe, stable housing. On two days every year, PHC brings 125 separate service agencies, providing a continuum of services that included mental and chemical health care, employment training and placement, comprehensive medical and dental care, haircuts, ID assistance, and voicemail services. Volunteers are enlisted to assist attendees make priorities for the day and get to them. To volunteer, please go to: http://www.homelessconnectminneapolis.org/.

Additionally, DCEH provides tours of Project Homeless Connect for people who would like to attend the event, but cannot spend all day volunteering. The tour begins at 9:45am at the Convention Center on Monday, May 20th. Participants of the tour should meet Heidi Johnson McAllister, DCEH Director, outside of Exhibit Hall B. To ensure your tour spot, please contact Heidi at heidi@dceh.org.
